CMM & Laser Scanning

When it comes to quality assurance, ADDMAN achieves vital measurements for inspection using cutting-edge laser scanning, CT scanning, and CMM technologies. These methods can confirm both external and internal geometry features for conformance to customer requirements.

CMM

Manufacturing a part is not the end of the cycle. At ADDMAN, we ensure that our parts, whether additive or precision machined, conform to customer requirements by using high quality CMM equipment. Our team uses the most state of the art technology such as Renishaw tip probes, and Zeiss scanning probes to obtain precise measurements and verify conformance.

Laser Scanning

When measurements around full surface detail are critical, CMM measurements can be exponentially lengthy and inefficient. That’s why ADDMAN uses 3D Laser scanning to capture millions of data points across the entire surface of a complex, convoluted geometry. The data points, known as a point cloud, is then fit to a deviation map from the CAD model in order to yield quick analysis.

CT Scanning

Laser scanning and CMM technologies are great technologies for determining measurements of external features but for internal channels, voids, and fluidity, ADDMAN uses CT scanning technology. The CT scan will verify dimensional accuracy of internal geometries that would otherwise be impossible to measure with traditional technology. By using CT scanning, we not only can check part geometry and feature, but can also verify if all internal cavities are clear of blockages caused by clumped powder.

Metal Additive

To bring concept to reality, ADDMAN uses cutting edge Metal Printing technologies, including laser powder bed fusion, which taps into the thermal power of the laser to selectively melt areas of a powder bed, achieving a deeply complex result that’s otherwise impossible with conventional manufacturing means.

ADDMAN joins industry leading talent with to constantly innovate previously non-printable materials like refractory metals. We develop parameters for materials and 3D Printing equipment to understand and isolate variables.
