ADDMAN’s Employee Spotlight Series: A Closer Look at Our Team!

Meet Wade Shaffer

At ADDMAN, we believe in celebrating and recognizing the hard work and contributions of our team members. That’s why we developed our employee spotlight series, to give visibility to the incredible people who help us power the pursuit of American innovation.

Today, we’re shining a light on Wade Shaffer, Manager of Digital Manufacturing. Based remotely from Rochester, MN, Wade is a crucial part of the ADDMAN Group family.

Wade explains, his role within the organization is to bring together the full manufacturing capabilities of all our sites in order to offer customers complete solutions to their manufacturing needs. He and his team are also working to build a customer portal that provides a seamless experience for customers when submitting RFQs, placing orders, or checking order status.

What makes ADDMAN different from other companies in the market, according to Wade, is our end-to-end solutions. With a full range of services from engineering to additive manufacturing, precision machining, and injection molding, we truly are a one-stop shop. The On-demand Customer Experience (ODCx) team is also dedicated to delivering the best customer experience possible.

Wade’s favorite ADDMAN memory so far was working at the 2022 RAPID + TCT event, where he was impressed by the advancements in additive technologies and was able to speak with current and future customers.

Outside of work, Wade has a wide range of hobbies, including restoration projects, woodworking, fly fishing, and spending time on the west coast with his wife.

What excites Wade most about additive manufacturing is the ability to retrieve brilliant designs from the past and bring them to life, as well as the ability to design in organic and efficient ways. He also loves the ability to reverse engineer and manufacture parts that have been unavailable for decades for restoration purposes.

We’re proud of Wade and all that he’s accomplished at ADDMAN, and we can’t wait to see where his journey takes him next. Stay tuned for more employee spotlight features and get to know the team that helps us drive American innovation!
